La Chamaca Machaca ~ Machaca the Ostrich is a joyful story about an ostrich who one day feels lonely because she has no one to talk to.
She begins to watch herself in a mirror, and soon she starts to dance to the rhythm of her own little song she has created for herself. Although Machaca was unhappy, she discovers a way to appreciate herself more, dancing and having fun by herself. She learns an important lesson, that even though at times we might be alone, we can gain confidence and learn how to feel better about ourselves. She also learns how to improve her self-esteem as she watches herself in the mirror. This story teaches the reader how to search and find one’s own happiness.
