Mi Cajita de Primeros Auxilios ~ My First Aid Kit is a story about good friends helping each other.
In this adventure, Pancho, a bear, and his friend Paz, a bunny, learn about first aid kits. When Paz visits the home of his good friend Pancho bear, he notices a small white box with a red cross on it. His friend Pancho explains that it is a first aid kit and begins to show him how to use it. They are interrupted by an urgent cry for help when Pancho’s little sister comes home after falling from her bicycle. Being a good brother, Pancho comes to the rescue of his hurting sister, cleaning her skinned knee and applying iodine and a Band-Aid. Happy again, she goes back to riding her bicycle, but much more carefully and certainly not as fast as before since she has learned an important lesson. The characters in this charming story teach us about the importance of friendship and brotherly love. They also teach us how friends can learn new things together and how to apply their knowledge to help others in their families and community. The story, albeit simple, is rich in science lessons and examples. It introduces the practice of first aid and offers positive examples of love among siblings and diverse friends.
