Bilingual Early Childhood Education

Children and families whose first language is not English must have access to quality education at the earliest levels of school. This was IDRA’s groundbreaking premise in 1976 when we developed the AMANECER curriculum incorporating the language, culture, and values of a people whose primary language is Spanish. IDRA’s commitment to early childhood education remains steadfast in our development of Semillitas de Aprendizaje and as we work with schools to ensure academic success for preschool children while valuing children’s cultural, linguistic, gender and racial uniqueness.
